Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of qsift, a recruiting copilot for hiring managers, available at qsift.app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

qsift helps you organize hiring pipelines and uses AI to extract interview feedback, parse documents, and surface conflicts across stages. The service is under active development, and features may change, be added, or be removed.

Your account

You sign in with a magic link sent to your email. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. Let us know promptly of any unauthorized use.

Your content and responsibilities

• You retain ownership of the data you put into qsift.
• You confirm you have the right and any necessary lawful basis to upload and process the data you add, including candidate personal information.
• You will use qsift in compliance with applicable employment, privacy, and anti-discrimination laws.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful, discriminatory, or harmful purpose.
• Attempt to breach security, probe, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, resell, or misrepresent the service.
• Upload malware or content you do not have the right to use.

AI output

AI-generated summaries, scores, and flags are decision aids, not decisions. They can be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for reviewing AI output and for any hiring decision you make. Nothing in qsift is legal, compliance, or professional advice.

Intellectual property

qsift, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while these terms are in effect. The software is proprietary; the underlying source code is not made available.

Availability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, or, if the service was free, a nominal amount.

Termination

You may stop using qsift and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we need to for legal or security reasons.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
